 I have had a change of heart (or at least a capitulation) to Remix since 2004. It is now baked into culture. At the time of this edit, we have not yet found a way to find a profit model (let alone future) for the arts beyond recycling of preexisting material. If done correctly, it is a powerful art form. But where is the skill and how is it measured beyond hits and likes on social media? If it is successful how can we make sure the original artists and their families at least get a footnote in history?
