What does the idea of changing political boundaries have to do with metageographical implications that are borderless? This seems to indicate that political boundaries will become less of an issue, and boundary overlays of class will take hold. Physical boundaries like a river or a mountain range were always the first 'Green Line', but money (and technology) have the power to dissolve them, or convert them into literal meaning of that metaphor.
