Camera close-ups are not eye close-ups. I realize this every time I photograph my art. The macro shots of the texture in a surface that a camera sees is not how the eye sees. I further realize that seeing through a camera does not necessarily equate with truth in art, if it exists. Perception has many lenses, especially when they are now everywhere. (7/2016)
