Randomness gives us the sense that the universe is doing its thing and including us in the roll of the dice. We are surprised at the emergence of a Black Swan, but it is the Black-Swan event that ultimately shapes reality--as tangible art objects, technologies or other phenomena that shape the world, such as the Internet.
