You might look like you're being naive, but there's a certain amount of faith that goes with an activity, especially creative activities. If you find joy in those activities it might look like naivete from the outside but when you're on the inside, there isn't the need for a constant feeling of hope that something is going to be successful. Flow experiences don't require hope.
