 This actually had to do with the COVID lockdown in March of 2020. I think people at the time, while they were feeling isolated from other people, cherished the time alone. I would imagine that it was a inflection point for a lot of people, and now 5 years later perhaps people who had taken up painting or some other creative activity, and continued on with it, moved on to another chapter in their life. The desire to get back to “normal” was perhaps a wasted opportunity..
