After you've created a large body of work, you're not so concerned about what's currently in fashion. I think that's what I was thinking at the time I made this entry. The reference to tactility probably has to do with my wanting to get back to playing instruments after I had been making ambient music. If you look at what you've done over a lifetime, you want to have some kind of an overarching theme to what you've done. You want to make sure that the roots are showing.
