What we decide is important or not important becomes the "training set" for our lives. There can be tens of thousands of books in a library, but if you make the choice of reading only 5 books in it, or never going to a library, then that becomes the basis of your intellect. Some people don't want intellect because of religious ideas or scriptures. So it's logical that that could result in division in any country and can lead to civil wars. We also see it now with AI, where people don't want any part of it, but others are deeply involved in its possibilities for mind expansion. I learn something new every day by asking questions of LLMs. I trust in the "truthiness", i.e. that the information is probably mostly factual. The fact that there may be errors as needles in haystacks is a concern, but it's not a fly in the ointment or a chink in the armor. There's enough there to rely on as science. People focus on the .01% that's bad, like reading only 5 books and having no interest in books or libraries.

[Actually "culture wars" but it's not a stretch that culture wars could escalate to civil wars if both factions see themselves as holding a cultural high ground or imprimatur]
