Transitions are the hardest thing, especially after decades. We always want things to stay the same, and we become used to ways of working. Even when software or user interfaces change, it affects us emotionally more than we think. Personally, U think UI and UX are hugely important because the screen space is the work space and I want to have it optimally organized, as I would want an art studio. I wouldn't want someone to re-optimize it for me. It would kill any ideas I would have because it's not optimal for the way I work.
