People fear AI because it explains away belief.  AI has the capability of discovering patterns that we would never see, or would take to long to realize, and can quickly create counterarguments. In music, I believe that humans are always better, but now I think that AI can sometimes be better, e.g. in creating good-sounding recordings. But recordings aren't music per se, as no one identifiable is playing. Fear itself is also a factor because fear can be paralyzing.
